Iron arms lock across my chest so that I can prove to the world that I am impervious to everything. Will I ever stop trying to prove...this thing? I used to think I knew what I was trying to stand strong for and/or against. But now I just feel hardened and weak. The iron is just a shell as I feel hollow beneath. I may be hard to topple over, but once I do, I am utterly destructible. That's why I lock my arms across my chest, widen my stance and hold myself still. Because once someone realizes that I am not steady, all I'll have left is an armful of flattened proof.
