I don't think I could remove the eyes from a dead infant. Or do a posterior dissection. Or shave her head. Or flip her over when she's been face-down, dead in a bed for eight hours, just to see the blanching in the lines of lividity.
How does anyone get to a point where that doesn't make them absolutely want to lose their mind? Desensitizing is one thing, but doing child death investigation is something entirely more...special.
